Dyson V11 Click-In vs Screw-In Battery: How to Identify the Correct Type
Visually identify whether a Dyson V11 uses a click-in or screw-in battery and avoid ordering an incompatible replacement.

Quick answer: A Dyson V11 click-in battery has a quick-release button that lets the pack slide out without removing its main retaining screws. A screw-in battery is fixed to the handle assembly. These two formats are not interchangeable.
Turn the vacuum off and remove it from the charger. Look at the underside where the battery joins the handle. A prominent release mechanism indicates the click-in type; a fixed casing with retaining screws indicates the screw-in type.

Battery-only or charger kit?
If the original charger works correctly and is undamaged, a battery-only replacement may be sufficient. A kit is useful when the charger is missing or intermittent. Charge on a ventilated surface and stop using any pack that swells, cracks, smells unusual or becomes abnormally hot.
