Milwaukee Compatible Batteries

A small collection of compatible batteries for Milwaukee cordless tools. For the 12V M12 platform there are 6.0Ah XC packs that replace the 48-11-2402, 48-11-2412 and 48-11-2440, available as a single, a 2 pack and a 4 pack. For 18V tools there is a twin pack of 6.0Ah M18 batteries bundled with a charger. Stock is limited to these four listings, so check availability on each.

Look at the label on your current battery for M12 or M18 and the 48-11 part number. M12 stick packs and M18 slide packs are not interchangeable. These are compatible batteries, not Milwaukee originals. Ships from Sydney, easy change-of-mind returns.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 6.0Ah M12 battery fit tools that came with a 2.0Ah pack?

Yes. All M12 tools share the same stick connector, so a 6.0Ah XC pack fits a drill, impact driver or inspection camera that shipped with the slim 2.0Ah battery. The XC pack is taller and heavier and acts as a stand for the tool. It also runs about three times as long.

Can I charge compatible Milwaukee batteries on my original charger?

Yes. Compatible M12 and M18 packs use the same contacts and communication as the originals, so the standard Milwaukee M12 and M18 chargers and the multi-voltage M12/M18 charger all work. The M18 twin pack listed here also includes its own compatible charger if you do not have one.

Which Milwaukee part numbers does the M12 6.0Ah replace?

It replaces the M12 XC family, including 48-11-2402, 48-11-2412, 48-11-2440 and the M12B4 label used outside North America. If your battery label shows any of those, or simply says M12 REDLITHIUM, the compatible pack fits. M18 batteries are a different shape and need the M18 listing instead.
