Makita Compatible Batteries & Chargers

Most of what is in stock right now is chargers and adapters for the Makita 18V platform, with lithium packs largely sold out. Chargers include a DC18RC compatible for BL1830, BL1850 and BL1860B, a DC18RD dual-port rapid charger, a four-port rapid charger with USB and a DC1414T / DC1804 charger for older Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries. The one battery in stock is an 18V 3.0Ah Ni-MH pack for the 1822, 1834 and 1835 series.

Adapters run a Makita 18V battery on Ryobi, Milwaukee, AEG or Ridgid tools and Dyson V7 and V8 vacuums, or a Milwaukee pack on Makita. Compatible, not Makita originals. Ships from Sydney, easy returns.

Frequently asked questions

Which Makita batteries does the DC18RC compatible charger take?

It charges Makita LXT 18V lithium slide packs such as the BL1830, BL1850 and BL1860B, and 14.4V LXT packs. It will not charge the older pod-style Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries; for those use the DC1414T / DC1804 charger. Charge time for a 5.0Ah pack is around 45 minutes.

Are the lithium batteries coming back into stock?

Yes, we restock 18V lithium packs regularly, and sold out listings stay visible so you can check back. If you need a battery urgently, email support@officecatch.com.au and we can tell you the expected date. The Ni-MH pack listed here suits only the older pod-style tools, not LXT slide tools.

Do battery adapters affect tool performance?

A little. The adapter adds length and a second set of contacts, and the tool's electronics may not read the battery's fuel gauge. Power output is normally unchanged for drills and saws. Adapters do not include the battery's low-voltage cutoff on some tools, so stop when the tool slows rather than running it flat.
